oh frabjus day

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

From The Jabberwok, from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

I had an uffish thought today, somewhere in the haze of too much coffee and not enough food..too much food at 5am and not food when it is sane for another person to be awake. Perhaps i have read too much cosmo and too much othello and not enough persuasian (but enough to write a paper long over due) and not enough A.S. Byatt. And so i sit and ask myself how Adrienne can be seduced by an older man when the older man's character is based on a younger one? when my experiance with older men is not really older, because two or three years by the time you're 28 is not older. it was older when you are 20, but now 31 looks much like my brother. and so the boi is younger than me, and i mix him and match him to make him an older man and so i have writer's block because i don't know how to make the boi into an older man--her professor at that--and not rewrite the same sortid sex scene as i did before. never mind the sordid sex that i myself am having. never mind how autobiographical you find in the year of the bog witch, you readers that read because you know that it is me and cannot keep yourselves from laughing.
