So i got married on monday april 16 2007. originally we were going to wait two years. at the end of march we decided that we would get married in april. when he first told me that he wanted to get married in april, it was right after his tonselectomy and i thought it was just the darvacet talking. apparently marriages are different by county, because in gwinett county there's a 24 hour waiting period between getting the marraige license and performing the ceremony. so on monday we were going to get the license because i thought there was a waiting period. monday was his first day off in like 2/1/2 weeks. so we got the license and found out that in fulton county you can get married the same day. pastor chad had offered to marry us when we got engaged, and since the judges had fees, i called up pastor chad (pc)at like 2:30pm and aksed if he'd marry us later that day. so he said yes. i went home and got a purple prom dress i bought last august at a thrift store and never really got to wear. i picked some daisies out of my front yard and went to pc's house to get married. pc showed me the ceremony he had and said i could make whatever changes i wanted. he had written it so that it would be applicable to same sex marriages, so i didn't have to worry about any mysoginistic langugage (spelling?) as it was all inclusive and wasn't gender specific. i changed "God" to Goddess and Jesus to Life Sustaining Spirit. we lit a unity candle and had a marriage circle like in a wiccan handfasting ceremony. a cousin of mine makes documentaries for a living and when i first got engaged he sent me a doc he shot of a wiccan handfasting ceremony, as i'm wiccan. brent(b) and i had rings that mommy sent us. her mother (my great gramdnother) and her grandmother(my great great grandmother's rings. b has my gg grandmother's ring because it's big like a man's ring. it's dated 1895. mine is 1920.pics attached.
