void

Void

Fragile, twisted cobweb dream
Lingering in the corner of my mind
You are the remnant of a sleepwalk through flames;
Though the fire is no longer burning
The coals remain kindled by the fear of change.
Winds of time erode my soul
Expose the secret my heart builds walls to hide.
Behind the barricades of self the war
Does rage between the bride and the wedding singer.
Dare I call or scream
To fall deep within the dream
That leads the sleeper past the canyons of destruction
Through the pits of inner hell
Beyond the cliff of death by blindness of the soul?
Saint Theresa in the shadows
Do you remember who you used to be
Before you lost yourself but found your soul
Among the sacred dead.
When will I un riddle the enigma of self
Buried beneath years of anorexic debris
And rediscover purpose beyond spells of deeper sleep
Cast by my own shadow
Into a night never ending
A
Fragile, twisted cobweb dream
Lingering in the corner
Of
My
Mind.
